Shooting outdoors for a fashion blog is quite challenging in monsoons, so this time its a beauty blog for a change! Well who doesn’t love eye makeup ? We all do ! Don’t we ? 1. Investing in good brushes and product!

No matter if you are a beginner or a pro, a good set of brushes and products would definitely take you a long way ! Good set of brushes not just ensures right application but also gives you a great finish through proper blending! Same goes with good quality products, they are much more pigmented and gives a great finish to the whole look.

2. Never ignore your brows!

Eyebrows are the most underrated part in eye make basics! Fixing your eyebrows not just adds definition to the whole face but also instantly makes your eyes look sharper and defined. Use the right colour brow pencil or gel to fill in Those eyebrows for those sleek looking defined brows!

3. Eye makeup first!

To prevent the fallout from your eye make up from ruining your base, its always a good idea to do your eye makeup first and then go for your base. Also if you are a beginner, to make your life easy when applying eye shadow, try using cello tapes from the corner of the eyes till your brow ends, for those sharp defined cat eye finish! You can even use a visiting card or anything you find handy for doing the job right!

4. Eye makeup based on eye colour!

Well there’s no hard and fast rule as such when choosing the eye shadow colour but here’s a tip that would definitely up the game for you! This chart would help you in selecting the best colour for your eye shadow based on your eye colour!

All you need to do is select the color that’s opposite your eye colour. For example, if you have hazel or brown eyes, shades of green and turquoise would work best for you! This is just for reference! You can be as creative as you wish when playing with colours.

5. Eye makeup based on skin tone!

Just like the eye colour, the skin tone too plays a vital role when selecting the right shade of eye shadow! The thumb rule to follow is, the darker the skin tone the warmer the eye shadow must be! If you belong to warmer skin tone like most Asians be, opt for colours like soft green, pink, bronze, taupe and so on. If you come under cool skin tone category opting colours like turquoise, blue, silver, gray and so on would work best for you!

6. Hair colour does matter!

To some extent yes hair colour also can be a game changer in your eye makeup routine! Brunettes have an upper hand here as most of the eye shadow colours go well with their brown/black hairs. Blondes usually being on the fairer side can play with fewer colours like pink, black, gold, blue and so on. The red heads have even lesser choice due to the intensity of the red colour, they can opt for shades like black, golden, bronze to keep it safe!

7. Highlighting the right areas!

Yup ladies! Never forget to highlight your brow bone with the right amount of illuminator or highlighter for more defined brow look! Also add in some glitter or shimmer near your tear ducts. This trick would create an impression of light bouncing off your eyes!

8. Eyelash game!

Not all the times it would be apt using false lashes unless you are attending a party or a wedding that needs extra oomph or makeup that makes you stand out! I would suggest using them only on those special occasions. For the rest of the days an eye lash curler and a good mascara would do the job right! Make sure you always curl your lashes before going in with mascara. If you using falsies make sure you put them very close to your natural lash line for more of a natural look!

9. Wing it with eyeliner!

Eyeliner is a step that can never be skipped in your eye makeup routine. Eyeliners come in different colours as well as textures. You even have options in glitters as well. Make sure to draw your liner as close as possible to your natural lash line or in case of false lashes try to stay in close proximity with them. Make sure your bottom and top liner meets at the corner of your eye. For a subtle look go in for a single stroke liner and for more dramatic look go in for thick liner to create the illusion of big broad sexy eyes!

10. It’s either your eyes or your lips!

Now that’s the trick! When I say its either your eyes or your lips, what I mean to say is try and accentuate only one thing at a time. If you go for bold eyes make sure you keep the lips nude or use pestle shades in lip color. Highlighting both the things at the same time would make you look loud and over the top 😕Eewwwww !! Who wants that ?? right??

Eye makeup pic 8These were just some basic tips and tricks which I personally follow and hence I can claim them to be tried and tested before recommending them to you’ll !!😉 Doesn’t matter if you are just a beginner and started learning. All of these tips are perfect! When I started paying attention to my eyebrows and highlighting it was a GAME CHANGER. And I love false eye lashes when I’m going out but it’s still such a toss up whether I’ll be able to get them on or not haha. You should do a tutorial for that!
Also, that eye color/make up chart is super helpful. I had no idea!

After reading your blog post I browsed your website a bit and noticed you are not ranking nearly as well in the search engine as you could be. I possess a handful of blogs myself and I think you should take a look at speed rank SEO. You will find it a very good tool that can help you rank on the top of search engine, just search speed rank SEO on google. Keep up the quality posts
