Everytime I decided to complete it, I used to get occupied with something new! I’ve always been sceptical of wearing a swimsuit untill I actually gathered all the courage and decided to give this a shot! There were so many things that were holding me back right from the thought that what would people say to over thinking about the fact that I dint have the body required to flaunt a swimsuit!

I’m sure there would be so many minds that would think like the way I did, hence this blog was something which I had planned of penning it down since a long! So for all those of you’ll who are under confident or uncomfortable with the thought of wearing a swimsuit, read this and probably this may help you boosting up your confidence level!

1. Identify your USP!

No one is perfect and we all know that! But we all have something or the other that’s special or exclusive just for you! For example, you may have a great booty, whilst some one else may have a toned back. Identify what’s that one thing about your self you love or take pride in flaunting and then based on that decide choose your swim wear! For instance, a woman with heavier breasts should definitely avoid wearing deep plunge neckline swimsuit as it would just make it look bad.

Likewise those with belly issues can opt for monokinis which offers more coverage then a bikini near the tummy area. Everyone has positive physical traits. You just have to recognize them and use it in your favour.

2. Choosing swimsuit that flatters your body!

Now that you’ve identified your favourite feature, it’s time to choose the right swim wear for your body. Pick a bathing suit that makes you feel more confident about an insecure area. If you are insecure about a small bust, choose a swimsuit top with ruffles or a triangle top to create the illusion of curves. If you are insecure about your thighs, try a bathing suit with a skirt or attached shorts! Basically remember the thumb rule, highlight your strengths, and hide what your weaknesses ❤

3. Try using cover ups!

If you are a first timer, then it’s always a good idea to carry a cover up to avoid being conscious about the fact of being watched by the public! Cover ups come in so many ways. A sarong wrap is a cute cover-up for your legs and thighs. Likewise a kimono top or a sundress is also a good idea to look fashionable and stylish!

4. Train your mind to be confident!

Well this may sound weird, but this does help. Your mind plays games with you. It would constantly remind you about your fear of wearing a swim suit! Right at that point in your mind, shout “STOP!” or “NOPE, we are not going down that path again!” as soon as thoughts of this kind starts to spin in your head. Watch pictures of those women who have flaunted bathing suits confidently despite of not having a perfect bikini body! Remind yourself, every body is a bikini body! Let it be your mantra till your beach vacation!

5. Accessorize like an expert!

When in doubt, embrace your inner fashion girl. Sometimes overdressing a little can help boost your confidence. So layer up on the chic necklaces, boho jewellery, some funky tattoos,  beach hats. Or, if dressing up isn’t quite your style, at least bring in some cute beach accessories. A colorful beach towel, beaded tote bag, or hilarious pool float (the giant donut floaty seems to be very in right now) work just as well!

So ladies, this is it, the blog ends here with some kick ass ideas to combat your fear and make you feel more confident! You see, everyone of us have that inner Kim Kardashian in us! We just need to push ourselves a bit to wake her up and trust me there wouldn’t be any looking back! And just the way I said there’s nothing like a perfect bikini body, I would like to add, there’s nothing like a perfect bikini season. So just pick up your swimsuit, your sunglasses, some sunscreen and offcourse your favourite float and hit the beach/ pool anytime 🙂

    What a lovely post, so encouraging and kind and some great tips here too. I was gifted a gorgeous swimsuit a couple of months ago and it’s made SUCH a difference to how I feel about my beach body. I love your suggestion about a sarong around the hips, that’s a tip I’ll be using when we go away this summer for sure, thank you 🙂 Lisa
